AEW President Tony Khan shocked the world a couple of months ago when he fired CM Punk. Ever since Punk was released by All Elite Wrestling, the professional wrestling industry has been buzzing regarding the next step in his career. While rumors have been buzzing about his potential WWE return, a recent report seems to indicate that Punk’s return to WWE is highly unlikely.
As per Dave Meltzer, CM Punk’s homecoming to the Stamford-based promotion is not taking place anytime soon. Meltzer stated that WWE has turned down the Second City Saint for a comeback to the company. Reports were that the company has no interest in signing Punk at the moment and has no such plans.

However, the fans have been taking this news with a grain of salt. WWE has been highly teasing the return of the Second City Saint for a considerable time now. The fans have been anticipating his return at the Survivor Series this year, which will take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
Although nothing is confirmed at the moment, CM Punk also teased his appearance at the Survivor Series, which got fans amped for the event. It is going to be interesting to see if WWE allows the 45-year-old to make his triumphant comeback to the company he left in 2014 after being in controversy for so long.
Booker T thinks CM Punk in TNA would work better
Recently, CM Punk has been the talk of the town. His rumored return to WWE has been generating a lot of buzz on the internet. Speaking about Punk’s return, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has his opinion about the return of the Second City Saint. On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker opined that CM Punk working in TNA would work.
Booker T said that CM Punk can help TNA elevate young talent with his star power. He expressed that many young superstars can look up to the former AEW star for some guidance. According to the WWE legend, Punk’s addition to the promotion will be extremely beneficial.
“If CM Punk was to go to IMPACT Wrestling and be a part of that, that crew down there, I think it’s definitely something that, it could work. I really do. I think there’s a lot of young guys down there, I think there’s a lot of young guys, just like in AEW, that could learn and maybe look towards CM Punk for some guidance and whatever."Booker T on CM Punk in TNA
CM Punk might consider TNA his new home in professional wrestling. Recent rumors are not positive for his return to WWE. It is going to be interesting to see if WWE pulls the trigger on CM Punk and signs him to the company, or if TNA will be the one signing the Second City Saint to elevate their talents.
