Former WWE star Mark Henry was known for his powerhouse performances in the company. He is best known as the World’s Strongest Man. Mark stated in an interview about the time when he was pranked by Vince McMahon and felt extremely disrespected. Henry accepted that he would have whooped Vince’s a** if he was backstage after the prank.
The June 3, 2011, episode of SmackDown saw Mark Henry square off against Christian to kick off the show. The match resulted in his loss after he got pinned by Christian after his Kill Switch finisher. A pretty decent night for Henry was then ruined by McMahon, who announced him for a dark match after the show. He was told that his opponent would be Sincara and was ordered to enter the ring first. He waited a long time in the ring for his opponent to arrive, only to discover that it was a prank.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Mark Henry stated that he had asked the referee, Scott Armstrong, about the situation. He recalled seeing fear in Scott’s eyes due to Henry’s anger while he asked him for a microphone. As he was handed the microphone, it was turned off, which made him understand the situation. He revealed that he was completely pissed off.
The former WWE superstar stated that it was the maddest time of his life. He was glad that the backstage members had already driven off in their limos, or else they would have suffered the wrath of The World’s Strongest Man. Mark felt trivialized at that moment and thought about confronting Vince McMahon.
He might’ve gotten an apology after that, but his pride and respect were not to be retained from it. When he was asked about why Vince McMahon did it in the first place, Henry replied, “Vince just thought it was funny”. They just had to go to the airport later and needed to kill time for the audience, hence the prank was pulled.

Braun Strowman asked Mark Henry for WWE tryout

The World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry reflected on his bond with Braun Strowman. While speaking on “Insight”, Henry stated that he saw something special in Strowman that made him realize his need for the wrestling world. His belief in the former Universal Champion made him choose the path and has now enlightened it with his presence.
The WWE veteran revealed that Braun Strowman had approached Henry even before he joined WWE. It was when Strowman had competed at the national level of the contest and had finished in seventh place. At the same time, Mark advised Braun on joining wrestling, telling him about his strengths and other perks of the business.
After two years of advice, the 39-year-old asked Henry for an opening in the company for his inclusion. Since then, he tried out for the WWE tryout and went further to achieve his goal. Strowman’s career in WWE has seen him win the Universal, Intercontinental, and RAW Tag Team Championships.
