Memories of Shane McMahon‘s WrestleMania 39 debacle are still alive. What misery he had! After showing up for the first time since his reported exile, he tore up his quad. Shane was set to school an outspoken Miz; however, the wrestling gods weren’t wise with Shane-O Mac. Seconds into his match, McMahon took a leap in order to avoid the A-Lister, which saw Shane land abruptly.

The maneuver caused an unprecedented injury, and he was taken off. Snoop Dogg made up for his void and knocked The Miz away to everyone’s delight. However, the question remains: how long before fans get to see Shane McMahon back? Well, it appears like they’ll need to wait a little longer. PWInsider was informed of the same via their Q&A session. The source revealed that fans shouldn’t expect Shane anytime before Endeavor acquires WWE.

Recent movements suggest that the UFC-WWE merger is expected to close by the end of September. It was announced way back in the morning after WrestleMania Sunday this year. Notably, WWE’s CCO, Triple H, has not been included in the resulting Board of Directors. That created a sense of anxiety among WWE fans, as they thought it would hamper The Game’s current role. However, that’s not the case, and he’s still the creative spearhead.

Coming back to Shane McMahon, his recent years with WWE have been quite rough. Initially, he was quietly let go from the company after his dismal showing as a producer for the men’s Royal Rumble match in 2022. Then, his return at The Showcase of the Immortals was tragically cut short. Shane’s WWE influence has only decreased in the past few years.

After leaving WWE in 2010, Shane McMahon returned home six years later. He interrupted his sister, Stephanie McMahon, who was standing alongside Vince McMahon on Raw. Shane-O Mac’s unexpected arrival garnered a staggering crowd reaction, as there were no signs of his return at all. By then, both Shane and Stephanie were assigned separate brands to manage. Long before that, Vince McMahon had already predicted such a situation.

On the Howard Stern Show, Vince was asked whether he’s confident that his kids could potentially run WWE one day. In response, Vinnie Mac didn’t hesitate to nod in approval, as he thought that Shane and Steph were way brighter than he was. “Actually Shane and Stephanie are a lot brighter than I am so…”, said Vince. However, today, Stephanie is no longer with WWE, and Shane is battling through an injury. Funny how times change this fast.
