The Anarchy in the Arena match in AEW overdelivered to the fans, to no one’s surprise. The entire match was full of hard-hitting spots and violent action. During the match, Matt Jackson hit Jon Moxley with a superkick, which exploded upon contact with Moxley’s head. Fans have been going crazy since the spot went viral on internet.

The feud between The Elite and The Blackpool Combat Club has been one of the most compelling stories on AEW lately. Both teams have portrayed character work to an extreme level. Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega re-ignited their long-term storyline as a part of The Elite. Danielson and Moxley have also taken their violence to an extreme.

Matt Jackson is known to use his superkicks innovatively. During their match at All Out 2021, The Young Bucks used a shoe with thumbtacks as a sole against the Lucha Brothers. Fans consider the match to be one of the best matches in the careers of both teams.

Similarly, this year at Double or Nothing, the former AEW Tag Team Champion used the same trick. He used a shoe that exploded as soon as it came in contact with Moxley’s head. The shot was enough to take Jon Moxley out. It also damaged Matt’s leg, as the explosion burned the shoe and a small part of his leg.

The violence in the match would not stop there, as thumbtacks, barbed wire, and ropes also got involved. By the end of the match, most of the wrestlers were bleeding. The conclusion of the match caught a lot of fans off-guard, as no one saw it coming. Takeshita’s turning heel has opened up multiple opportunities for the story. Watch the video here.

After almost 30 minutes of extreme violence, drama erupted in the main event. Don Callis ran from the commentary table to the ring. Kenny Omega felt his presence and stood in front of him to attack him. Out of nowhere, a masked man entered and attack Omega. It looked like Callis had everything worked out.

The BCC and The Elite brawled inside and outside the ring. Wheeler Yuta cashed in on the opportunity and pinned Kenny Omega for a victory. After the finish, the masked man revealed himself to be Konosuke Takeshita, who had just betrayed The Elite and joined The BCC. This was Callis’ plan all along, as revealed later.

The show would go off-air with Kenny Omega hurt in the ring alone while all the other members were outside the ring. The BCC, on the other hand, celebrated their victory in the center of the ring as Don Callis raised Takeshita’s hand in victory.
