Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle is no stranger to controversy. He has gained a lot of negative publicity himself, due to which he was eventually released from the WWE. Recently, the former United States Champion talked about another controversial man, none other than Vince McMahon.

Riddle gave an interview on Sunday Night’s Main Event and was asked if he was surprised by any of the allegations leveled against Vince. The 38-year-old stated that, although he does not know anything regarding the actual allegations, he certainly wasn’t surprised. In fact, Riddle even described McMahon as a maniac.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant accused McMahon of sexual assault and filed a lawsuit against him. In that lawsuit, there were several disgusting screenshots of messages and heinous acts by the 78-year-old, among many other things that could turn pretty catastrophic for Vince. Along with the former chairman, superstars like Brock Lesnar were allegedly also involved in it, as per the accusations.

Well, people say that (they were surprised), and granted I had no idea of anything going on. I don’t even politic my matches. I show up and do my job. When I saw Vince do all the things he’s done from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, I was not surprised.  It wasn’t me. I have no comment, other than that. I’m not surprised. I hear people say they’re surprised. I’m not surprised. The guy was a maniac.

After getting released from WWE, Riddle wrestled in Major League Wrestling and defeated Jacob Fatu in a match. The Original Bro also made his debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling and challenged Hiroshi Tanahashi for the World Television Championship. It will be interesting to see whether he will claim his first major win after leaving the Stamford-based promotion.

The Original Bro gave an interview with Chris Van Vliet and talked about the relationship between him and Goldberg. He stated that although he is great at drawing money and sports entertainment, he is not a fan of Goldberg’s wrestling style.

I am not a huge fan of his work, I am not a huge fan of his wrestling style personally. I think he's great at drawing money, I think he's great at sports entertainment, I think he's an awesome action star, I told him all that and I like the bunch of stuff he does, I am just not a fan of his work.

Goldberg and Riddle also made it backstage and talked for a little while. There was animosity between both of the superstars, covered by the smiles on their faces. The 57-year-old stated that, whether he likes Riddle or not, he appreciates the hard work he puts in. After hearing what Goldberg said, one can at least say there is mutual respect between the two stars.
