Maxxine Dupri has risen in popularity since her move to the main roster. The former NXT superstar debuted as a manager of the Maximum Male Models (MMM) a year ago. Recently, she spoke with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful in an interview during the SummerSlam weekend. One of the talking points was about the rise of her on-screen brother, LA Knight.
As many fans might know, the Megastar debuted as a manager for MMM alongside Maxxine. However, he would soon leave the group after Triple H took over creative duties and transformed into the charismatic star he was. Dupri revealed how she felt about the meteoric rise and transition of her former teammate. First, she mentioned that she was on NXT at the same time as Knight and saw how everything unfolded.
“It’s great; I’m happy for him except for when he left me as my brother,” hilariously said Dupri. The 32-year-old herself would end up making a similar transition a few months later. She joined The Alpha Academy and has gained popularity among the WWE Universe since then. Furthermore, Maxxine Dupri revealed that she is currently being trained by her teammate, Chad Gable.
At the moment, LA Knight is the hottest babyface in the company. This is due to factors such as crowd reactions and his top merchandise sales among wrestlers. The 40-year-old is feuding with The Miz after defeating the A-Lister at Payback. Meanwhile, Maxxine is focused on improving her in-ring skills with the help of Gable and Otis on RAW.
