Bayley will challenge her former friend Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Championship. Although the whole Damage CTRL is hoping for her downfall, many have sent heartwarming wishes to The Role Model. One of those messages was from current AEW star Mercedes Mone, fka Sasha Banks.
Mercedes Mone took to X and tried to boost her confidence with a wholesome post. She said that Bayley has already made her mark on the wrestling industry by showing how good she is as a WWE superstar. The Role Model would’ve certainly gotten the motivation needed for her big title match at WrestleMania Night 2.
Bayley and Mone both share a rich history in the wrestling industry. They have won multiple championships together and fought against each other in some of the most amazing matches. They were Women’s Tag Team Champions during the pandemic, carrying that era during the company’s difficult time with no fans.

Bayley felt terrible when fans called Damage CTRL a flop
Although Damage CTRL didn’t find immediate success, they slowly found their footing in WWE. Bayley formed the group in 2022 when she returned with Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai at SummerSlam. The Role Model admitted that she felt bad when Damage CTRL was seen as a failure in fans’ eyes.
The 34-year-old gave an interview to Digital Spy and expressed her disappointment over the group’s negative reception. She stated that even when they were tag team champions, fans felt they didn’t have chemistry and also labeled them as flops. However, just like every other faction, Bayley felt they also needed time to grow in the WWE Universe.
It was the hardest to convince the fans that we were the real deal. Even when were the Tag Team Champions, there was a while where fans were like, 'I'm not feeling them, they don't have chemistry, it's a flop. That was my mindset in it, let's grow together and then, when the time is right, we'll go and do our own thing.Bayley via Digital Spy
At the end, they won several championships within the group, as Iyo became WWE Women’s Champion. Kabuki Warriors also won the tag team titles and are still dominating the entire division. Now, it will be interesting to see whether the group manages to thrive without the influence of The Role Model or not.
