Former WWE superstar Sasha Banks, a.k.a. Mercedes Mone, was recently at the New York Comic Con festival. NYCC is a fan convention dedicated to pop culture fans. The fans in attendance get a chance to meet their favorite actors, writers, wrestling personalities, etc. That said, the NJPW superstar shared a stunning piece of fan art from the NYCC event on her social media.
The 31-year-old met a slew of her fans in the pop culture spectacle. Several fans sported Mercedes’ exclusive merchandise, getting posters and championship replicas signed by her. One such fan left the star awestruck by exquisite fan art. The fan art depicted Mercedes’ different eras of pro wrestling.
Amazed by the fan’s creativity, Mone took to her Instagram to share the fan art in her stories. The fan portrait showcased four different eras of her wrestling career, starting from the independent circuits to WWE and her ongoing run with NJPW. The 31-year-old has wrestled in almost every major wrestling promotion.
Mercedes Mone started her career in 2010 in Chaotic Wrestling. Two years later, she signed a deal with WWE and wrestled under the ring name Sasha Banks. Moreover, The Boss has numerous accolades under her belt during her WWE run. She is a 7-time Women’s Champion. Furthermore, she officially signed with NJPW in January 2023. Mone defeated Kairi Sen to capture her first IWGP championship earlier this year.

She wrestled her last NJPW match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW Resurgence. As per the original plan, Mone was supposed to be crowned the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. Unfortunately, she suffered an ankle injury during the match. Thus, the 31-year-old called an audible, and the latter won the championship.
Recently, a fan on X noted that the superstar wasn’t wearing the “medical boot” during her recent appearance on a podcast. The medical boot facilitates protecting and healing the injured area. With Mone no longer wearing the boot, fans have concluded that she might be soon appearing on AEW’s upcoming PPV, Full Gear, on November 18. Mercedes last appeared at AEW All In, London, as a part of the audience.
