Getting old is indeed a concerning thing for anyone. It’s not because one’s voice becomes gruffy. Instead, it could lead to someone like Michael Cole, who’s arguably the greatest wrestling commentator of all time, messing up. The same happened this week on Raw when the veteran figure wrongly spelled Candice LeRae‘s name as Candice Michelle.

Meanwhile, coming back to the woman whom Michael Cole was trying to refer to, it was former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Candice LeRae. She had a match with Xia Li on the show. Despite having a video package thrown at the titantron for her, LeRae could not gather enough to put away the Chinese wrestler.

The match didn’t last long, as Candice got rocked when Li hit her with a vicious spinning kick on the side of her skull. As a result, the referee had to stop the bout, and Xia Li wrapped up her first televised win since February 25 of last year. Outside of the shenanigans between these women, Michael Cole had a busy night. The video packages for different superstars were on display, and Cole had to add weight to them.

However, once he realized that he had replaced LeRae with Michelle, Cole immediately shoved it off like a true veteran and said that aging is a terrible thing. Well, to his credit, the 56-year-old has been in situations like this, but it could happen to anyone. The way Cole covered it up shows his prowess as a legendary commentator.

Michael Cole apparently wrestled Bayley before last week’s SmackDown

Before this week’s SmackDown, the entire world got to witness the long-awaited dream match between Michael Cole and Bayley. But hold on for a second. It was Kayla Braxton who dressed up like Cole. She completely surrendered herself in front of The Role Model as there were giggles all around the ring, with Triple H and Nick Aldis also there.

Michael Cole couldn’t help but survey the scenes from his commentary desk. Now that Bayley has defeated her biggest rival, the debate seems settled. Anyway, it was a lighthearted moment, which pretty much shows how closely-knit WWE is. The viral video of it has been leaving fans chuckling.

Michael Cole would’ve surely had some flashbacks seeing Kayla Braxton cosplay him. Her loss upset the WWE commentator. Recently, Cole completed 26 years in the business as he continues to woe everyone as the voice of WWE.
