Triple H has transformed WWE in a very short time in more ways than one. And Michael Cole, who is no stranger to Vince McMahon yelling in his ears, recently discussed notable changes in the WWE’s content since Vince’s retirement.

The Wall Street Journal first-reported Vince McMahon’s hush money allegations, which eventually led to his retirement. With McMahon retiring, fans and pundits wondered what was next for WWE’s creative. After all, it was Mr. McMahon who took the last call in every creative decision of the company. WWE is currently headed by Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan as Co-CEO, and Triple H as Chief Content Officer.

Michael Cole recently appeared as a guest on The Pat McAfee Show, where he touched upon several topics, including changes in WWE after Vince McMahon’s retirement.

He said, “I worked under Vince for 25 years, and I knew nothing else. He’s a second dad in many ways; I grew up in the company. It was a shock when it first happened, and we’ve all settled in and realized the show must go on. The show is going on, and we’re doing well.”

What creative changes has Triple H made in WWE?

Triple H’s takeover as the CCO has changed existing programming extensively. Many released superstars have returned to WWE. Apart from the jaw-dropping returns of Bray Wyatt and many significant former NXT cornerstones, the ‘Game’ has focused on scaling up the wrestling quality on the shows. This has led to fewer meaningless rematches week after week. Plus, a magnified focus on minor details in the ongoing storylines has bettered the viewing experience.

In addition, the 14-time World Champion is looking to shake up the pattern of WWE premium live events. According to reports, Triple H is making plans to scrap off events like Money in the Bank, Hell in a Cell, and Elimination Chamber. Introducing the WarGames concept on the main roster is a much-welcomed move for the fans, and a start of new exciting PLE’s. We’re in for a thrill ride and be ready to experience those bumps meanwhile.
