“Anyone can get…,” Michin comments on Shelton Benjamin getting once-in-a-lifetime ovation after 20 years
WWE's Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin thanked the live fans at this week's Main Event taping in 2023 and Michin replied to his tweet.
Shelton Benjamin has always had a gold standard in WWE. The 47-year-old wrestler expressed his gratitude for the response from the live audience at this week’s Main Event taping. He has spent most of his wrestling career in the WWE. Benjamin was part of the Golden Age of the WWE. He was part of the main roster and wrestled against the likes of John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Edge. However, he built the foundation of his career at OVW.
Shelton Benjamin is one of the most successful wrestlers in WWE, and during his prime, he was known for his overall physique and unpredictable moves in the ring. The WWE Universe has consistently shown him unflinching respect. After a fantastic performance, Shelton Benjamin took the time to express his gratitude to the live audience in Nashville, Tennessee, who saw Benjamin compete during a Main Event filming.
Thanking the crowd for the immense strong and love, he noted, “At the conclusion of my match filmed for @wwe main event I experienced an ovation that I will cherish for life. I Just wanted to say thank you Nashville and thank you @WWEUniverse the love & appreciation is mutual.”
Many wrestlers retweeted the post to show respect for the WWE legend, and of them was Michin, who replied to Benjamin’s post and said: “Thank you For showing me that anyone ANYONE can get a standing ovation at 20 years.”
However, fans react hilariously as they laugh at Shelton’s profile picture in the image. Michin has used an image of a Skunk as Shelton Benjamin’s profile picture on her phone. Benjamin has held the titles of United States champion once, Intercontinental champion three times, and Tag Team champion three times throughout his tenure with the organization.

Shawn Michaels, a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the best Attitude Era wrestlers, believes Shelton Benjamin will join him in the Hall of Fame after he retires from professional wrestling.
Shawn Michaels became part of the Hall of Fame in 2011. However, he returned to the ring once at WrestleMania 2018 for a tag team match against The Undertaker and Kane with his all-time Degeneration X partner Triple H. Shawn said it wasn’t long before Benjamin entered the ring for the first time, and now he is a legend. He claims that there is a warm spot for Shelton in the WWE Hall of Fame.
