The Hardcore Legend Mick Foley is one of the most remarkable names in the history of pro wrestling. Known for his multi-dimensional personas and yet extreme approach, Foley was a crowd favorite. The Hall of Famer has been away from the squared circle for quite a while now but looks to have a last match. The three-time WWE Champion showed interest in a match but expressed uncertainty about its happening.
While speaking with Highspots, Foley was asked to provide an update on his last match. He responded, stating that he would have to lose an extraordinary amount of weight for that match. However, all those things are not falling into place, and his current condition is making him re-examine the chances.
Foley stated that he wishes to have a fun match but is still experiencing trouble as of now. He claims to have been working out, feeling better, and even moving well considering his age. But his medical clearance for hitting the ring has not yet been cleared, which makes him unsure of how he would go out to wrestle. Foley concluded by saying that the declaration of his last match would be made around the next year’s start.
Yeah, but I'd have to lose an extraordinary amount of weight, and it's not falling off like I hoped it would. I'm going to have to re-examine where I am at a certain point. It's not about the money. I want to have a fun match, but I am having trouble.Mick Foley about his last match
The King of Hardcore has not wrestled for over a decade after Royal Rumble 2012. He has made several appearances on WWE programming and gained a full-time GM role in 2016. Later, his presence became more sporadic, clearing his chances of hitting the rings once and for all. Only time will tell if there is a final match left for his beloved WWE Universe.
Mick Foley does not want his last match to be in WWE
While discussing his interest in wrestling a last match, Mick Foley made it clear that it would be a Death Match. The Hardcore Legend wants to shut down his career with a gory spectacle—a match that cannot happen in WWE. This idea was questioned by his sons; however, Foley would like to get it done despite it.
In his podcast, Foley claimed that the match would not be recommended for everyone due to his hardcore approach. But in order to make it happen, he wishes to lose more than 100 pounds and become fit to hit the ring.
No. No, because I think it would be a pretty gory spectacle. I’m just thinking about it.Mick Foley on his last match not being in WWE
As of now, Foley has two options with whom he would like to wrestle his last match. The first one being his scrapped opponent from WWE, Jon Moxley fka Dean Ambrose. But Matt Cardona is also a Death Match specialist these days, which also makes him suitable for Foley to wrestle a last match with.
