WWE is experiencing the reigns of dominant champions at this moment. Rhea Ripley sits at the top of the Raw Women’s division with her Women’s World Heavyweight Championship. It seems her reign has attracted the attention of the former Women’s Champion, Mickie James.

The 6-time Women’s Champion likes to tease her upcoming goals to her fans. With that being said, it seems like returning to the Stamford-based company could be on her checklist. It wouldn’t be surprising if she had plans to lock horns with the Eradicator of Judgment Day. To quote her:

Mickie James has captured the TNA Knockouts Championship twice since she made her return to TNA (then Impact Wrestling). She did return to WWE, flaunting her Knockouts Title, for the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2022. 

James last wrestled at TNA Bound for Glory on October 21, 2023; since then, she has stepped back to take some time to reflect on her life. It would be interesting to see how James would cross paths with the dominant Rhea Ripley.

Mickie James reflects on competing at the Royal Rumble 2024

WWE Legend Mickie James recently sat with Gabby AF from the Fightful. James was questioned about how many fans have begun speculating about her return to WWE.

Speculations suggest how it could take place at the Royal Rumble in 2024. It seems James was in a light mood as she answered this question. The 6-time WWE Women’s Champion spoke about how she would only make her return on one condition.

I’m not coming back at this Rumble unless I’m winning because Hardcore Country at WrestleMania? It prints itself. Because the winner gets a title shot at WrestleMania. If you win the Rumble, you automatically get a title shot.

Additionally, the former TNA Knockouts Champion got called out by NXT Talent, Fallon Henley, to form a tag team with her. With a desire to face the Eradicator, Rhea Ripley, and her husband, Nick Aldis, serving as the SmackDown General Manager, the chances of seeing the Hardcore Country back in the WWE Ring seem higher than ever.

Speculations about Mickie James also arose once the returning Second City Saint, CM Punk, mentioned her in his promo on Monday Night Raw.
