MVP and Goldberg
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg recently made some remarks about Rihanna’s performance at Super Bowl LVII halftime show. The legend made harsh criticisms about the pop star calling the performance “horrible” and “disgusting.” Now, MVP seems to have given his two cents on the topic. In his recent remarks, he also dragged former US President Donald Trump into the discussion.
MVP indirectly called out the recent outrage against Rihanna in his recent string of tweets. The Raw superstar also made references to Donald Trump’s lewd comments in the past. In his first tweet, he writes, “I’ve noticed that a lot of the people that find Rhianna offensive or are “disgusted” by her performance at the SB are not at all bothered by a presidential candidate bragging about “grabbing women by the ?” or a 1st lady posing nude.”
The former United States champion clarified his stance on presidential elections. In a follow-up tweet, he said that he didn’t support any of the former candidates. MVP writes “And for the record I have NEVER been a fan of Joe Biden. And I’m no fan of Trump. Imagine that. You can actually dislike BOTH.”
While the former Hurt Business member never mentions Goldberg by name, everyone assumes that he is making direct reference to the Hall of Famer’s comments on the CarCast podcast. However, when a fan calls MVP’s remarks “out of left field” he clarifies that this is not in response to Goldberg but the outrage in general. As a result, the fans are more dubious and confused about this political angle from the WWE superstar.

What are MVP’s plans on the road to WrestleMania?

While MVP rarely gets physical in the ring, he has shown more of his mic skills as a manager during his current run in WWE. Right now, the Raw superstar is in a storyline to reunite the Hurt Business back again. MVP was last seen on TV two weeks ago when he came out to help Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander against the Alpha Academy.
The Hurt Business was a very successful faction at its prime. The group held the WWE title and the Raw tag team titles at the same time asserting dominance over the red brand. The fans are eager to see the alliance once again as it shows signs of reunion. Many believe the the group wasn’t lived up to its full potential leading to an early brekup. Bobby Lashley is currently booked in a match against Brock Lesnar this Saturday at Elimination Chamber. It would be interesting to see if Hurt Business help out their former faction mate in a bid to gain his trust.
