MVP wanted to fight John Cena
WWE is now celebrating John Cena’s 20th anniversary with the promotion. On the RAW episode, set to be aired on June 27th, he will finally return to take part in the celebrations. Twenty years have passed since Cena made his main roster debut. The upcoming RAW program will be broadcasted from Laredo, Texas. Cena is a hot topic among WWE fans as his return approaches.
Recently, WWE Superstar MVP responded to a fan’s post on social media by expressing his desire to collaborate with John Cena. MVP, a former member of Hurt Business, is a celebrity with whom Cena has never interacted.
A fan expressed her disappointment on social media for not getting their ideal match, saying she wished the veteran would collaborate with Cena. Montel responded to the post in his tweet with a loud “me too!”
After abandoning his former stablemate Bobby Lashley, the 48-year-old is currently in charge of Omos on the red brand.
John Cena: A glorious 20-year journey
On June 27, 2002, Cena made his debut on the main roster on SmackDown, facing Kurt Angle in his first match, which saw Mr.P emerging victorious. The Cenation leader will make a comeback exactly on the 20th anniversary of his debut.
His last outing resulted in a loss as he was defeated by Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam the previous year. When The Cenation Leader comes to Monday Night RAW, it will be intriguing to watch what transpires.
Since the beginning of 2019, John Cena has only competed in four televised battles, two of which took place at exclusive premium live events. As mentioned above, the main event at SummerSlam 2021 served as Cena’s final contest.
He engaged Roman Reigns in a fight for the Universal Championship, which Reigns ultimately won. He faced off against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt on Night Two of WrestleMania 36 in 2020, however, there was also a wait of more than a year before the match.
