“WWE is the SC*M of the Earth” UFC Legend Blasts the company amid Rumours of signing Nate Diaz

UFC fighter Nate Diaz is one of the hotshots in the sports entertainment industry right now. Diaz is one of the best ever athletes to step inside an octagon and is currently a free agent. Thus, it would be no surprise if other sports entertainment companies other than UFC try to bank their money on Diaz and pull him with them.
Diaz has a massive fan following around the world and is considered one of the greats in combat sports. Diaz stirred a whirlwind of emotions of fans by uploading a picture with the current CEO of WWE Stephanie McMahon and The Creative Head Triple H and had captioned the post as – “We’ll see what’s bout to happen next”.

UFC Legend believes WWE would never offer Nate Diaz a contract

Thus, many fans and observers had believed that Nate Diaz could be the next making a major crossover following the likes of Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey. But UFC Legend Chael Sonnen has some harsh words for the expected crossover.
The MMA promoter believes that WWE will never offer an official contract to Diaz and might just use him to act like a crowd puller and the company can just use him for a couple of appearances, or as described by Sonnen- “might give him a ticket, they might flash the camera”.
Chael then went on to explain the reason behind his comments and said that WWE is perfect in gaining attention and getting the hold of the market. If they were to actually do anything with Nate Diaz they wouldn’t have revealed it in the first place.
According to him they’re only using Diaz to get attention from the market which they’ve been successful in. In an interview Sonnen said- “The WWE is the scum of the earth. But they are very good at getting attention.”
“So the fact that the WWE told us that they are talking with Nate means they have absolutely no intent of doing anything with Nate. They’ve now already won. They got the headlines, they got the dialog, it cost them a grand total of nothing. You don’t have any star that’s ever gone to the WWE that you were told ahead of time. It’s on the moment, it’s live, it’s a surprise.”
The UFC Legend emphasized on the fact that WWE already generated a lot of buzz just appearing with Nate Diaz and have garnered free publicity without spending a dollar.
But the fact that also needs to be addressed is that Diaz himself posted about the meeting and the caption also points at a potential role in the company.
Though we’ll have to wait and see whether Diaz is coming to the biggest global juggernaut or not. And if he is indeed coming then what will be his role in the company.
