Nick Aldis is one of those general managers who doesn’t get intimidated by anyone. In his short but chaotic run as Smackdown general manager, he has made some tough decisions that have been appreciated by the fans. They are finally regarding him as one of the best GMs in recent years who’s not afraid of anyone, not even Roman Reigns.
Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight were having a triple threat match for the No. 1 contender for the titles. The match came to an abrupt end as The Bloodline attacked all three potential challengers. Enraged by this, Aldis told Paul Heyman that, due to Roman’s actions, he would have to defend his title against all three contenders at the Royal Rumble.

Well, my work here is done. I hope everybody had a great night here in Vancouver. Checkmate, Roman.Nick Aldis on Instagram
WWE shared a video in which Aldis is returning backstage after the show and delivers the final message to The Tribal Chief. He said ‘checkmate Roman’, implying that the champion chose to intimidate the wrong person. Aldis’ fearless attitude impressed the fans, who said that finally there was someone who had the guts to go against Roman.
On last week’s episode of Smackdown, Aldis and Roman sat down for a chat. During the conversation, Roman warned him to cancel the match between Solo Sikoa and AJ Styles.
Instead of backing down and taking orders, Aldis gave a befitting reply to Roman, leaving him annoyed and angry. It will be interesting to see whether the fans will see a new champion emerge at the end of the Royal Rumble or if Roman will once again retain the title due to the Bloodline’s shenanigans.
Roman Reigns was furious after Nick Aldis’ announcement
The Bloodline attacked all contenders with the thought that nobody would challenge Roman Reigns. However, they soon realized the consequences of it, as Nick Aldis told Paul Heyman that the Tribal Chief would have to defend his title in a fatal 4-way match at Royal Rumble.

WWE released a video in which Heyman hesitantly broke the news to Roman, leaving Roman angry. He left the spot, warning Heyman to ‘fix this’. The Tribal Chief expressed concern about the match, as he doesn’t need to be pinned to lose.

Now, The Wiseman has to strike a deal with Aldis to clear up this mess before the Rumble. It will be interesting to see the reactions of all three contenders to this decision by the SmackDown GM.
