Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE was arguably one of the most high-profile returns in the Triple H era. The fans had high hopes for the new character and the story Wyatt and Triple H would come up with. However, recently, the fans have had some doubts about this “Uncle Howdy” story. Lately, Alexa Bliss’ involvement with the Eater of Worlds has been confusing for the WWE universe. In a recent development, it seems that Nikki Cross has some things to say about this as well.
In a video posted on WWE’s Instagram account, Kevin Patrick visits Nikki in a dark and shabby room. The Raw Commentator tries to get some reaction from her about the recent events involving Alexa Bliss. Cross, who is getting back to her wild character, replies with, “Little Blissy, sneaky sneaky!” followed by a burst of maniacal laughter.
Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss are former two-time women’s tag-team champions. The alliance between the two competitors ended as Bliss got involved with Bray Wyatt moving forward. Both Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are going through a darker character change as of late. Since Bray’s return, there have been rumors about a “Wyatt 6” faction amongst fans. Nikki’s involvement in the story opens up a myriad of possibilities moving forward.
The history between Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss was first involved with Wyatt in his rivalry with the former Wyatt family member, Braun Strowman. Wyatt started attacking her, playing with Strowman’s affection for the former Raw women’s champion. The Fiend gained control of Bliss’ mind, and she became his protege going forward.
In December, The Fiend reignited his feud with Randy Orton and faced him in a “Firefly Inferno match” at TLC. The Apex Predator came out on top and burned the Fiend’s body in the process. Bliss, trying to avenge his master, started interfering in Orton’s matches which led to a rare inter-gender match at WWE Fastlane. The Fiend made his return in this match with an even more grotesque and burnt mask.
At WrestleMania 37, Alexa Bliss betrayed Bray Wyatt, distracting him in his match against Randy Orton. The following Raw, Bliss introduced a new doll named “Lily” and claimed that she no longer needed the mentorship of the Fiend. That was Wyatt’s final appearance in WWE before being released in July of the following year. The whole story between Bliss and Wyatt garnered a mixed reaction from the fans. This is why the fans were a little skeptical about the recent developments. While Wyatt is going to face LA Knight at Royal Rumble in a “Pitch Black” match, Alexa Bliss is feuding with Bianca Belair on Raw for the women’s championship.
