We count Paige among one of the most controversial female superstars on this planet. As far as she was fluent and natural inside of the squared circle, her personal life catalogues are an embodiment for her “viral” nature. The anti-diva came into recognition when she got crowned as the Divas Champion upon her main-roster debut night in WWE.
We recently saw her debut in All Elite Wrestling at GrandSlam special at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. The British had a renewed life as depicted by her movements and immediately issued a statement saying, “This is my home now”. But do you really feel she joined Tony Khan’s promotion due to being a victim of negligence from WWE?
Feels like that’s not the case as per a recent report from Fightful Select. They were told that obviously the previous administration in WWE including Vince McMahon wasn’t keen on keeping Paige with themselves. They had imposed various restrictions over her and scissored her involvement in third-party platforms.
However, the anti-diva was offered a role as the General Manager once Triple H came into power. The condition that she’ll be allowed to return as an in-ring competitor upon her will. Some unintentional lack of communication widened the gap between the two parties negotiating for an agreement.
Additionally, the rumours being spread which were suggesting that WWE held multiple checks in order to test her medical well-being good for an in-ring run. The former Divas Champion got herself examined through three extensive health checks. The matter of the fact is that people who had power few months back always denied the idea for her to be there.
What’s next for Paige in AEW?

As already mentioned, Saraya (Paige in WWE) has been cleared to return to in-ring competition. Her last match back in 2018 and on the post-Wrestlemania 34 edition of Monday Night Raw, the anti-diva announced her retirement from a heavy heart. That made everyone emotional as people were expecting a prolonged run of her with The Absolution.
We does not know how long she’s going to last as a wrestler in All Elite Wrestling considering her long-ludded history with neck injuries. Going to bust her organs inside the ring isn’t going to be as simple as drinking a cup of tea.
