Backstage details on Paul Heyman’s ABSENCE from Television and return plans reportedly revealed

The Special Counsel to the Tribal Chief, Paul Heyman has been missing from television since the SummerSlam bout between Reigns and Lesnar. The all stakes match between current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Beast Brock Lesnar involved almost everything from Lesnar bringing a tractor to the ring and even using it later to topple the ring in a rare eyesight.

The closing moments of the match even saw The Beast hitting Paul Heyman with a F-5 on an announcer’s table thus taking him out completely. Heyman has not been since then and now it seems that he has been deliberately taking his time off the television. Paul Heyman has been with Roman Reigns since his Head of The Table gimmick began and had almost no days off due to a tight schedule, therefore observers believe that Heyman is still selling the F-5 injury to stay off the television.

Paul Heyman may be selling Brock’s Summerslam F-5 : Reports

Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman was hit by an F-5 by Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam thus taking him out completely.

According to Dave Meltzer, who shared a backstage note on Heyman’s absence and said WWE is trying to portray the whole situation that Paul Heyman who received a devastating F-5 from Brock Lesnar is still recovering from the injury. Though Meltzer pointed out that there’s no definitive time frame when Heyman will return to TV but he says that it will not be announced beforehand and Heyman will return in a surprising segment making the F-5 spot worth something.

Well, Roman Reigns is all set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre at the Clash at The Castle premium live event which will be held on September 3 rd in Cardiff. Though Heyman can make a return at Clash at The Castle but it’ll be interesting to see what surprise he brings with him if Meltzer is to be believed.

However this is not the first time Paul Heyman has suffered an F-5 from The Beast. Back in 2002, when Lesnar was paired with Heyman on his debut but Paul would betray him after sometime this would set up a match between Lesnar and Heyman and that too a steel cage match so that Heyman won’t run away. Lesnar would finally F-5 him to end their feud.

The second time Lesnar would attack Paul was in 2018 when a returning Brock Lesnar put his hands on Heyman and almost choked him out with Heyman shouting- “I Can’t Breathe. Well it would be interesting to see when Paul Heyman makes a comeback to television and what surprise he brings with him.
