It was during the pandemic that Reigns and Heyman joined forces to create one of the best factions and, subsequently, one of the greatest storylines of all time. However, the Wiseman believes The Tribal Chief was his grasp at the straws during a tough time in his life.

Speaking to Rich Eisen, Paul Heyman revealed that in 2020, it was a rugged time for him. He stated that it was when Brock Lesnar moved to his home and was gone for months that he lost his position as the executive director of Raw. Besides, Heyman disclosed that after WrestleMania 36, it was an unknown state for him as the Beast Incarnate was allegedly retired from WWE. Therefore, at that time, pairing with the Head of the Table made him relevant.

It was a humble interview by the Special Counsel of Roman Reigns. He not only praised the Needle Mover for coming back but also for bringing relevancy to everything around him. When the leader of the Bloodline returned in 2020, he quickly paired himself with Heyman.

He elucidated that he is running between addressing the current era of Roman Reigns and WrestleMania XL or the era of ECW. The Wiseman wisely tackled the situation by saying that he would be improvising his speech after feeling the crowd at the Hall of Fame ceremony.

I really won’t know until I take the temperature of the room that night, as you know better than I, you always have to know your audience. Once I steal the crowd, I’ll pretty much know what I have to do to deliver for them.
