This latest edition of SmackDown saw the aftermath of last week’s ending of the show. The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso, were booked in a six-man tag team match in the main event. However, Nick Aldis informed Paul Heyman that the faction had to find their third partner themselves. As a result, this led to The Wiseman interacting with different stars backstage, including Bobby Lashley.
The former WWE Champion was livid after Karrion Kross‘ new stable attacked him and The Street Profits. The trio were walking backstage, where Heyman approached The Almighty, asking him to team up with The Bloodline. However, while Bobby acknowledged their years-long relationship, he declined the offer. Instead, the 47-year-old revealed he would rather be standing across the ring from the faction when he’s facing Roman Reigns.

Paul Heyman looked desperate throughout the show, knowing that The Tribal Chief had many enemies on the roster. Therefore, he struggled to find the third man despite reaching out to several stars. At the end, The Bloodline faced a 2-on-3 disadvantage despite trying to take out Randy Orton before the match to even the odds. The #1 contenders sent a clear message to Roman by laying out Jimmy and Solo to close the show.
Meanwhile, Lashley and The Street Profits were looking for revenge against The Final Testament. The Almighty was not at all pleased with Kross and AOP for blindsiding them last week. A rivalry is certainly on the cards between the two factions, which might play into the Road to WrestleMania 40.
How did Paul Heyman try to “fix” the situation?
Nick Aldis has shown in his stint as SmackDown General Manager that he isn’t afraid to make tough decisions. This was notable last week when he booked Roman Reigns in a fatal 4-way bout at Royal Rumble. Obviously, The Tribal Chief had issues with this ruling and told Paul Heyman to “fix” it. Therefore, The Wiseman tried his best to deal with the situation on the latest episode.

At the start, The Bloodline came out and confronted Aldis. Heyman seemingly wanted the GM to scrap the upcoming Undisputed Universal Title match. However, the 37-year-old wasn’t taking orders from the former advocate and The Tribal Chief. To assert his authority, he booked a six-man tag team bout for the night while calling out Reigns for being an absent champion.
This didn’t work out well for the faction, as the #1 contenders, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles, sought payback and decimated Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. All Paul E could do was watch on and call Roman Reigns.
