“He did actually see something in both of those guys right away”- Paul Heyman used legit statements during his interactions with Madcap Moss and Theory last week

Paul Heyman, Madcap Moss and Theory

Paul Heyman is a mastermind of this wrestling business. He’s been the manager for one of the most dominating forces in WWE history in Brock Lesnar. Before joining the forces with Lesnar, Paul was the owner and the creative mind behind Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) from 1993 until the closure of the company in 2003. Heyman was in the management role since his early days when he debuted as a manager on January 2, 1987 at the Northeast Independent Circuit., so he knew how to drill the best out of someone and he did the exact same with The Beast Incarnate.

Under his guidance, Lesnar quickly pounced upon his opponents dismantling them from top to bottom and thrashing everyone who crossed his paths. Heyman also later managed former WWE superstar Cesaro for a short stint in 2014 after the latter dumped over his own mentor Dutch Mantell revealing himself as the “Paul Heyman Guy” but their alliance didn’t lasted for long.

Heyman is currently working under the wings of the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns since leaving his former client Brock Lesnar in late 2020, although they came back on the same page for a very short span earlier this year after Reigns turned over Heyman on the December 17th episode of Friday Night Smackdown last year. But, to a surprise Heyman once again allied himself with The Tribal Chief as his Special Counsel at this year’s Royal Rumble costing Brock Lesnar his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley.

Paul Heyman mentioned real backstage happenings during recent interactions with Moss and Theory on Smackdown

Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman confronted Madcap Moss and Theory this past week on Smackdown

This past week on Smackdown, Paul Heyman tried to mould young guns Madcap Moss and Mr. Money in the Bank Theory into his traps. First he caught Theory backstage saying that he was the one responsible to bring up Mr. MITB where he’s currently standing at asking him to drop the idea of cashing in his contract at Summerslam seemingly trying to protect Roman Reigns from every corner possible doing his duty as the Special Counsel to him.

He even fantasized Theory for considering a proper one on one match with The Tribal Chief at a much bigger stage announcing his cash-in well in advance to up the ante of their bout, but smartly Theory rejected his offer walking away. Similarly, he met Madcap Moss repeating the same line saying he was credible for the overall upliftment of Moss. As been seen recently, Madcap has been on a significant push since last few months having featured as a muscular babyface on the blue brand ever since splitting up from Happy Corbin.

Well, Paul didn’t said those lines to both Moss and Theory as just part the script as he was the one responsible for pushing those two guys around the time he was given the creative lead for Monday Night Raw in early 2020. Dave Meltzer revealed the same real incident mention in Heyman’s promo from last week.

“It was also interesting, the ‘insider’ thing because Heyman went to Moss and he went to Theory, how he was responsible for both of them getting their big break, which is actually a true story because if you remember back when Paul Heyman was in charge of Raw, well, Vince McMahon was in charge of Raw, but Paul Heyman was in charge of Raw in name. Two guys who he brought up were Theory, who they then sent back down because they didn’t think he was ready, and then Heyman hand-picked him when somebody got hurt… He picked Theory to be the replacement”.

“And then, with Moss, you remember, Moss came in, beat Ricochet, they were going to give Moss the big push, and then Moss, I think, had a family issue or something and went home. Probably having to do with COVID, but when COVID came in, he was gone. I don’t know the reason, exactly, but it was a family thing.

You know, he kind of disappeared, but Heyman was going to give Moss a big push. He liked the guy’s look, liked the guy’s athletic ability and everything. It was just in both cases, with Theory, Vince didn’t think he was ready and sent him back down and with Moss, it was the timing thing. He did actually see something in both of those g
