Paul Heyman is quite meticulous about everything he does. Being in this industry for decades, he has carved himself into a perfectionist. However, even someone like him can lose his temper at times. A similar incident happened during this year’s SummerSlam press conference. Paul was supposed to accompany his Tribal Chief during the presser. But, plans changed on the fly due to Roman Reigns‘ suspected injury.
As a result, Reigns missed the press conference, and Heyman walked out alone in front of the media to take up the queries. However, before he came out, he received quite a mild welcome from the press correspondent, Byron Saxton. His tone degraded after learning that Reigns wouldn’t be there. Hence, he just introduced Paul Heyman just for the sake of it, causing the latter to legit grow angry at Saxton.
According to Ringside News, Heyman was actually upset and almost started tearing up Saxton. However, he didn’t let his emotions get the better of him. Thankfully, Paul’s brilliance saved a potential catastrophe. Or else, the fans already know how deadly these press conferences have been in the past. That said, one of those scrums even resulted in a real-life brawl between CM Punk and the members of The Elite in AEW.
The SummerSlam presser could’ve been the last one for Byron Saxton had Paul Heyman taken it personally. Saxton used to be a part of RAW’s commentary team a while ago. Then, he was assigned a backstage role, more specifically a downgrade, to describe in a rude way. However, Heyman must’ve realized that maybe Byron wasn’t just expecting his solo appearance at the presser and hence toned down his voice.
Paul Heyman revealed where The Bloodline’s saga stand
Once Heyman was done playing with Saxton, he opened up to accept questions from the media. The very first one of them was to the point. The Wise Man was asked in which inning The Bloodline’s story stands. Responding to it, Heyman uttered, “Bottom of the 3rd.” He even went so far as to say that there’s more meat left to be consumed.
Fans were expecting that SummerSlam could put an end to The Bloodline saga. However, by the end of it, a new chapter opened up as Jimmy Uso betrayed his own brother Jey. Now, they’re destined to feud with each other inevitably. Also, during the Tribal Combat Match, there was a palpable rift between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The Enforcer wasn’t thrilled after Reigns accidentally speared him.
