“Now it’s Triple H’s vision,” Former NXT star reveals what lead to her name change

WWE superstars have always found themselves in a never-ending cycle of name changes on the main roster under Vince McMahon. However, with Triple H in charge, the talents' premonition came to an end.

The tradition of ‘name changes’ had been very obvious in the WWE under Vince McMahon. During the Vince McMahon era, WWE followed a significant pattern on the main roster. With the departure of Mr. McMahon, the WWE Universe has witnessed massive changes in the creative direction. Most of the superstars are getting their names back under Triple H’s regime.

The Women’s Royal Rumble 2023 has seen some of the most spectacular surprises and returns. One of the highlights of the show was the return of former NXT UK superstar Piper Niven. She was last seen on the main roster as “Doudrop.” However, she returned to the Rumble this year under her NXT UK alias. In an interview, Doudrop revealed that she discussed the idea with Hunter as soon as he took over as creative control. “We did have a conversation about it. Because here’s the thing, before it was Vince’s vision, and now it’s Triple H’s vision,” she said.

Piper Niven comments on her WWE name, “Doudrop”

Piper Niven lasted approximately 27 minutes in the Royal Rumble match. She made two eliminations and put on a good show. Niven was one of the final six participants in the match. She was eliminated by Raquel Rodriguez. Under Triple H’s vision, Niven emerged as a remarkable superstar in the NXT UK division. She had some of her most incredible matches in the division. The fans were invested in her and backed her during her NXT UK days. WWE was considering building Doudrop as the next destructive force after Nia Jax under Vince McMahon.

Although she has been a part of many amazing matches on the main roster, the company failed to use her full potential. It will be interesting to see what her future holds on the main roster now that she has reclaimed her old name. With Triple H in charge, the WWE Universe can expect interesting things from her in the near future. Hunter knows what the fans want. He would try to make sure the fans enjoy the WWE product more under his new vision.

The former NXT UK Superstar, Piper Niven, debuted on Monday Night Raw in June 2021. She was paired with Eva Marie and was renamed Doudrop. Furthermore, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was on a mission to make Doudrop the next dominant force in the women’s division. Doudrop was a part of some incredible storylines on the main roster. One of her high-profile matches was with Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble 2022 for the Raw Women’s Championship. She was also a part of the Women’s Elimination Chamber match in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Now that WWE has repackaged her under her former NXT UK name, there are many exciting things that await. The Scottish performer can be a part of many incredible feuds if booked in a proper storyline. However, there is no doubt that Niven is one of the most incredible performers in the ring. She can provide some high-profile matches with superstars such as Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and others. The fans believe that they will see the best of Piper Niven under Triple H.
