R-Truth journeyed to SmackDown this week. He appeared in a backstage segment with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and his NXT counterpart, Ava Raine. Upon finding his entry number for tonight’s Royal Rumble match, Truth was full of disgust. He asked whether he would go to quarantine for the said period. However, after being notified by Nick Aldis that it wasn’t the case, R-Truth took a sigh of relief.

Aldis instead said that the number Truth drew was to determine the spot he would come out to during the Royal Rumble match. However, what made the SmackDown sheriff almost guffaw was Truth misconceiving him as Adam Pearce. The former 24/7 Champion even praised Nick for the rapid growth of his hair, thinking he was Pearce. And it was the exact moment Aldis chuckled for real. Potentially, it was the first instance in his so-far-so-good run as the SmackDown GM.

The fans on the internet and in general absolutely loved that comedic gem of a segment. And it pretty much confirmed R-Truth as a participant in the coveted 30-man field. He now joins his Judgment Day comrade, Damian Priest, while others could follow. For the unversed, Priest was the one who kept pushing for R-Truth to stay longer as part of The Judgment Day.

And needless to say, it has become one of the most entertaining acts on WWE television. Thus far, WWE has only announced eight entrants for the men’s side of things. The Judgment Day is expected to play spoilsport for many of their foes. With the potential inclusion of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in it, things may pan out well for the villainous stable.

How R-Truth cost Damian Priest in a big way on Raw?

This week on Raw, Damian Priest lost a pivotal battle against Drew McIntyre. Things were evenly matched until R-Truth showed up. The 52-year-old’s shenanigans prevented the match from heading into a stalemate.

Truth met Priest at ringside and was trying to hand the MITB holder his stack of dollars. Damian was in no mood to cater to Truth’s tantrums. However, it all went south once he entered the ring. The Archer of Infamy got chin-checked by a Claymore kick.

And it was everything McIntyre needed to put Priest away. After the show went off-air, Truth was able to escape Priest’s rage and de facto made the big man break his character. Fans in attendance captured the moment and were impressed with their chemistry.
