On SmackDown this week, Kevin Owens was seen backstage with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. Pretty Deadly interrupted the conversation, demanding a WrestleMania spot, but got something they weren’t expecting. Elton Prince asked for another WrestleMania opportunity after failing to beat New Catch Republic to qualify for the six-pack challenge.

K.O. asked them not to disturb, to which they responded by questioning his tag team experience. Following this, The Prizefighter challenged them for a tag team match next week on SmackDown with his recent acquaintance. Upon asking to reveal his identity, Owens started talking to Randy Orton, who was standing next to Prince. The 26-year-old Superstar got jump scared after suddenly looking at The Viper.

The Apex Predator complimented the former 2-time NXT Tag Team Champion’s jacket, stating how his father used to wear a similar one. Following the confrontation, Aldis made the match official for next week, giving Pretty Deadly something they didn’t ask for. After leaving, Kevin Owens returned to knock both Elton and Kit Wilson out with a single blow.

It appears that both superstars will miss out on making their WrestleMania debuts. Meanwhile, Orton and Owens will be a part of the triple threat match for the United States Championship involving Logan Paul. It is strange but interesting to see them tag along despite being scheduled to fight each other at WrestleMania XL two weeks away.

Randy Orton heading into his 19th WrestleMania match

Only a handful of WWE superstars get to be on the match card of WrestleMania. Moreover, only a few get to regularly perform at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Randy Orton is among the greatest wrestlers to bless the ring not once or twice but 18 times in the past. His match against Kevin Owens and Logan Paul at WrestleMania XL will be his 19th WrestleMania match.

The Legend Killer debuted at WrestleMania XX and pinned Mick Foley to begin his WrestleMania journey. Since then, the 14-time world champion has main-evented the biggest PLE of the year twice. Once at WrestleMania 25 against Triple H and at WrestleMania XXX against retired WWE legend Batista and former WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan.

The 43-year-old Superstar has missed WrestleMania 32 and 39 in his illustrious career. It is never guaranteed to have any superstar appear at the next WrestleMania, but considering the age factor, it is safe to assume Orton will stay around for multiple WrestleMania’s to come. Only time will tell what the future holds for the future Hall of Famer.
