Cody Rhodes has been the talk of the town ever since he stood up against The Rock at the WrestleMania Kickoff event. The People’s Champion went on to call Rhodes’ fans ‘Cody Crybabies.’ Now, a close ally of The American Nightmare, Randy Orton, broke his silence on this WrestleMania fiasco. The Viper heaped high praise on the 38-year-old and his impact on his fans.
In an interview with the New York Post, the Apex Predator praised Cody’s fans. He went on to say that they are so vocal about his story that they are making it feel important. The Legend Killer added that it feels good to see that fans are not supporting the biggest star in the world, but the emotions attached to the story of his former Legacy teammate.
Seeing those fans, the ‘Cody Crybabies’ as Rock calls them, seeing the fans be so vocal for a Cody Rhodes, Cody’s heart and him finishing the story - and that story’s important. And I think because it’s so important to Cody it’s important to those fans. And it’s pretty f–king cool to see that to a lot of these fans Cody’s story is more important than the biggest star in the world.Randy Orton on Cody Rhodes
Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes share a special bond. During the initial days of The American Nightmare’s career in WWE, he was under the assistance of Orton himself. They were a part of a faction called ‘Legacy.’ In essence, they are close friends in real life as well. Cody’s fans took over the internet when he refused to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL and handed over the opportunity to The Rock.
Orton has been a huge supporter of the American Nightmare throughout his career. It can be seen in his recent comments about the Royal Rumble winner. Moreover, Rhodes is all set to go on an all-out war against the Tribal Chief and the Brahma Bull on the road to WrestleMania. As for the Legend Killer, he has an opportunity to punch his ticket to WrestleMania by winning the Elimination Chamber this Saturday in Australia.
Randy Orton promises he won’t jump ship to Hollywood
Randy Orton is one of the most versatile superstars in WWE. The Legend Killer has done it all for the company and has had an illustrious career. He is considered one of the all-time greats. However, just like other WWE superstars, fans wonder if Ortom will ever head to Hollywood to have a career like a fellow WWE superstar like John Cena or The Rock. Orton silenced all these claims during the Elimination Chamber presser.
In Australia, Orton stated that he would never go to Hollywood. He added that he likes doing what he is doing right now, and that is professional wrestling. The Viper claimed that he loves his fans and truly adores their appreciation for him in the ring. Therefore, with his love for the business and the fans, he is not planning to go to Hollywood ever.
I’m not gonna go to Hollywood — I’m gonna be right here doing stuff like this in front of people like you that appreciate what I do, when I do it, I love you for that.Randy Orton
