Randy Orton has made his resume as such that his that one day he will surely be inducted in the Hall of Fame. Orton has been on the top card since his WWE debut and became the youngest World Champion at age 24. Randy can comfortably switch between face and heel. He possesses a natural charm, has remarkable in-ring skills, is an expert on the mic, has excellent facial expressions, and a wonderful appearance. Randy Orton in his peak is everything a perfect wrestler should be.
Randy Orton is a third-generation wrestler and his Grandfather Bob Orton and father Bob Orton Jr. were also wrestlers. Orton made his WWF debut in march 2002, but his first televised match was against Hardcore Holly which he won and showed the WWE Universe that he has a potential to beat and face the best in the business. Since his debut Randy has been a 14-time WWE World Champion and has won the Royal Rumble twice with also winning the Money in the Bank contract once in his career.
Randy Orton was a part of the 2003 Elimination Chamber match at SummerSlam
In 2003, on the August 4th edition of RAW, the then co-general manager Stone Cold Steve Austin had changed Bischoff’s declaration, and had revealed that the World Heavyweight Championship would be defended in an Elimination Chamber match at SummerSlam, with Triple H defending it against Goldberg, Chris Jericho, Kevin Nash, Randy Orton, and Shawn Michaels.
Randy Orton was a part of Evolution at that time and had got the opportunity for the Championship. Kevin Nash was eliminated by Chris Jericho, while randy, Shawn Michaels and Jericho were eliminated by Goldberg. This left Goldberg alone with and HHH, who had stayed inside the chamber at the moment.
Goldberg dragged him outside the chamber after shattering the glass door with his fist. Ric Flair, who was a part of the Evolution was at the ringside and managed to swung a sledgehammer at Triple H. Goldberg tried another spear on The Game, who countered with a sledgehammer to Goldberg’s head and covered him for the pinfall, retaining the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match all three members of Evolution launched a vicious attack on Goldberg, with Triple H holding the Championship close to Goldberg’s face and saying that “this is as close as you will ever get to my title!”
19 years later, Orton’s competitor in that match has showered some praise on him. Kevin Nash recently commented about the current situation of RAW and talked about Randy Orton on the latest episode of his podcast “Kliq This”. Kevin said that he watched Cena’s 20th anniversary celebration episode on RAW and enjoyed watching Cena interact with wrestlers at backstage. He added that he loves watching Randy Orton and that he is his favorite in the current lot of Superstars.
“I watched Cena coming back. I watched the 20-year deal with Cena. It was crazy because I know that when he walked in the back, he knew about as many people as I did. I mean I was just like [I know] Ziggler, Miz and Rey and that’s it. Plus Orton certainly. What I usually do is I’ll tape it and I’ll watch the guys that I like to watch. I’ll watch those segments. Orton is like my favorite current active guy right now. So I watch.
Randy Orton is currently inactive due to a back injury. It was reported that he was about to face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam this year. It has now been said that Orton may miss the whole remainder of this year.
