Disappointing update on the WWE future of Randy Orton

Randy Orton is a 14-time World Champion

The Viper Randy Orton is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time. Having won the World Championships a staggering amount of 14 times, he’s also a grand slam champion in WWE.

Orton’s breakthrough career moment came when he battled the hardcore legend Mick Foley for the Intercontinental Championship. After going to war against Foley through straight 23 minutes, Randy emerged victorious.

Some of the greatest career rivals of The Viper include Triple H, Edge, John Cena, The Undertaker just to name a few of them and most importantly, Orton holds numerous victories over them. He has headlined multiple premium live events and 2 Wrestlemania events, the latter of which came in 2009 and 2014 but he lost both of them.

The year 2022 brought many accolades to the already equipped arsenal of The Apex Predator as he became the superstar having most number of pay-per-view appearences {now as premium live events} in addition to maximum matches on Monday Night Raw as well.

If you just sit back and analyse about all these accomplishments the Former WWE Champion has achieved throughout his long-illustrious journey, this is enough to call him as one of the best players to ever born for this industry.

WWE had huge plans already loaded up for him until Orton suffered an unfortunate back injury earlier this year which initially sidelined him for the rest of 2022 but the latest update on the injury status of the Viper is haunting.

According to Dave Meltzer on his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, people backstage in WWE are heavily concerned about the recovery process of The Viper as the severity of his injury is believed as serious.

We last saw the WWE legend performing alongside Matt Riddle as a team known as RK-Bro and their final match came up against The Usos back in May when these teams battled it out to unify the Tag-Team Championships. Following this match, Randy Orton disappeared from WWE programming which later got revealed as an unfortunate medical issue.
