“It’s just ICING on the cake” WWE Hall of Famer compares Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah with the legendary team of Diesel and Shawn Michaels

Recently WWE has crowned their new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah. Although the match ended in a very controversial way as Aliyah pinned the illegal women Dakota Kai but still, they have been acknowledged as the new champions. Fans are going upset over their win as it was not legal but they support the superstars.
WWE Hall of Famer and Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Booker T also reacted to the match and agreed that even if the match ended in controversy, it was a good match. He even compared both of them to huge former WWE Superstars and Hall of Famer Diesel and Shawn Michaels.
Diesel otherwise known as Kevin Nash made his debut in WWE in the year 1993 when he was playing the role of the Heart Break Kid’s bodyguard. Two of them even made a tag team and managed to have two runs in the 90s before Kevin left WWE to join the arrival company WCW in the year 1996.
He compared the two tag teams and said that Raquel is going to portray a similar role to Kevin Nash or Diesel and on the other hand Aliyah will be Shawn Michaels in the tag team. He even said that if this thing is done right then this group will be remembered for a very long time. Just like the other two legends.
Booker T exactly Said, “Having a partner like Raquel [Rodriguez] that’s just icing on the cake because, like I say, Shawn Michaels, in the beginning, having that buffer, Diesel, that was huge. That gave Shawn the chance – I can see Aliyah being Shawn Michaels, really working that character really, really well.”
Potential challengers for Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah
As the match ended in a very controversial way it is fixed that both Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky will be getting a chance to win the titles back from the current champions and other than that Alexa Bliss and Asuka even have their eyes on the titles it will be nice to see what would WWE do with this situation and who will come out as the new WWE World Tag Team Champions or the Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah would retain the titles.
