The WrestleMania kickoff show was a stellar event, highlighted by memorable moments like when The Rock made a surprise appearance and delivered a thunderous slap to Cody Rhodes, igniting a fiery confrontation. The closing segment was equally electrifying, featuring a tense exchange of words between Triple H and The Rock.

In a recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer clarified reports regarding an alleged confrontation between The Rock and Triple H at a WrestleMania press conference. Initially, reports stated that at the press conference on February 8th in Las Vegas, Triple H and The Rock had a heated exchange, challenging each other to a match at WrestleMania. However, Meltzer has edited and deleted the article.

Meltzer clarified that while Triple H mentioned wrestlers going off-script, implying The Rock did so, no actual match challenge was issued. He also stated that a filmed segment of Triple H and The Rock going nose-to-nose, which did not air, sparked speculation about a potential match. This segment was widely shared on social media.

Given Triple H’s history of heart issues, Meltzer noted that such a match would be highly unlikely, and virtually everyone believed this to be the case. The decision to edit this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter and remove the erroneous report.

In conclusion, despite tensions, The Rock and Triple H didn’t issue a legitimate match challenge at WrestleMania. Fans can be assured that any future confrontations between these two wrestling legends will be purely for entertainment purposes and not for an actual in-ring competition.
