Making a thrilling return to WWE SmackDown, LWO‘s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro collided with Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo in a high-stakes showdown. The rivalry between these teams boiled over, reaching an intense peak during this week’s heated match.

Right from the opening bell, the bout showcased high-flying exchanges, spotlighting the diverse skill sets of all four competitors. Carrillo’s impactful Liger Bomb on Wilde stood out, though it fell short of securing victory. As the match approached its climax, Carlito unexpectedly showed up to attack Santos Escobar . This added a surprising twist, sparking a chaotic brawl in the crowd that proved to be a game-changer.

Seizing the opportunity created by the distraction, Garza executed a sneaky roll-up on Wilde. This move went unnoticed by the referee, ultimately securing the victory for the heels. This marked Garza and Carrillo’s first main roster win in nearly 600 days, dating back to their triumph over Jinder Mahal and Shanky on Smackdown on May 27, 2022.

The pair later moved to NXT, where they have competed for more than a year or so. After returning to join forces with Escobar, fans were thrilled to see how they would perform under the new regime. By the looks of it, the newly formed trio is headed for an intriguing Road to WrestleMania.

The Luchador legend has been absent from the wrestling scene since November due to a knee injury inflicted by Santos Escobar. Mysterio’s potential comeback injects a new layer of intrigue into the ongoing feud between the LWO duo and Escobar’s faction.

The WWE Hall of Famer, currently recuperating from knee surgery, addressed his recovery on the Baker Banter YouTube channel. Mysterio acknowledged the challenges posed by the injury orchestrated by Escobar. In addition to that, the Master of 619 revealed he is working hard to recover quickly and perhaps return in time for Royal Rumble. 

"I am really working hard on my physical therapy. I just had knee surgery, thanks to Santos Escobar, and his time will come eventually. I do hope that I can return for the Rumble, if not shortly after that."
