After almost doing everything one would dream of achieving after becoming a professional wrestler, Rey has already checked all of the boxes and is a certified future WWE Hall of Famer as well. His only goal left in this business is to pave a way for his son Dominic Mysterio and show him a desired path on which he can take the Mysterio Family legacy forward.

Dom made his WWE debut back at Summerslam 2020 against Seth Rollins which was a fallout of a highly personal feud between them and that finally unfolded in form of a formal match at the marquee event. After impressing everyone by his fantastic in-ring skills, Dom put on a valiant effort against The Visionary and pushed him to his limits but the ever resisting nature of Rollins and way more experience in that ring finally payed for him as he defeated Rey Mysterio’s baby boy after a grueling contest.

Rey Mysterio recently had an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport where he talked about Dominic’s debut match and what he said to him prior to that highly anticipated bout expressing his concern over Dom not being completely ring ready and said the decision to fight Seth Rollins was totally upto him. You can watch the candid conversation between Helwani and Mysterio below.
