WWE Hall of Famer feels sad for not being able to congratulate his son for his achievements due to their differences

Rey Mysterio is a legendary superstar who has accomplished almost everything in WWE. Recently, the Master of 619 appeared on WWE’s The Bump show. He was asked about his son Dominik Mysterio’s success in becoming the NXT North American Champion. The 48-year-old kept aside the issues of his family and said that he is extremely happy and proud. However, he is sad about the fact that their relation is unpleasant as of now, which is why he cannot congratulate him.
Furthermore, Rey Mysterio talked about taking on Dominik for the NXT North American Championship. He said, “As a father, despite our differences, I’m extremely proud of what he’s doing and what he’s conquering. He just better not step in the ring with me because I will take that North American Title.”
Rey Mysterio said that he is a proud father despite the troubles he has with his son. He also talked about the implications of his feud with his son on their family. The legendary luchador said that if things had been right, he would have called Dirty Dom to congratulate him.
Dominik and Rey Mysterio battled each other in an epic match at WrestleMania 39 this year. The feud was the result of long term storytelling between the father and son. Their incredible storyline culminated at the Showcase of the Immortals, where Rey Mysterio emerged victorious.
Dominik Mysterio’s future in WWE looks bright
Dirty Dom is one of those superstars who came into the light expeditiously. His first iconic feud in WWE was against Seth Rollins, and he has been shining brighter ever since. Ever since joining the Judgment Day, Dominik has been captivating fans with his heel persona. It will not be an understatement to call him one of the best heels on the roster lately.
His career has been soaring, and his recent victory for the NXT North American Championship has solidified that statement. Talking about his future, he has a lot to accomplish in his career as of now. He is currently with The Judgment Day and it will be interesting to see how things shape up in the future.
The 26-year-old has a lot of potential to shine on the black and gold brand as well. It would be exciting to witness Dominik engage in a feud with NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, among the various potential paths he could take.
