The leader of Damage CTRL, Bayley, outlasted 29 other superstars to win the Women’s Royal Rumble. Several superstars congratulated her, and many fans claimed it was a deserved win and a long time coming. Now, the current Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, has challenged her to a match with a specific stipulation.

Rhea took to X and shared a post asking Bayley if she was ready for an Iron Woman match. It is a special type of match in which two wrestlers have to score as many falls as they can within a specific time limit. However, Mami also warned The Role Model, stating that she made a grave mistake by choosing her, as she should worry about the people around her.

Since Crown Jewel, there has been a shift in dynamics within Damage CTRL. The Role Model has been losing her importance in the group after the inclusion of Asuka and Kairi Sane. Whenever they gather in a group, the awkwardness is visible between Bayley and other group members.

There have been many iconic Iron Man matches throughout the history of WWE, the most notable being Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart. However, there haven’t been many Iron Woman matches in history books. Interestingly, Bayley competed in one of them against Sasha Banks at NXT Takeover: Respect in 2015, where she emerged victorious.

Bayley replies to Rhea Ripley’s challenge fantastically on social media

Bayley has gained a lot of attention after winning the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match for the first time in her career. The current Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, challenged her in an Iron Woman match, and the 34-year-old was quick to respond.

Bayley took to X and shared a post replying to Rhea that she had already won that match and she was ready to fight Mami in an Iron Women match. The match Bayley referred to was one of the only two Iron Woman matches in the history of WWE. 

The first-ever Iron Woman match was between Bayley and Sasha Banks at NXT Takeover: Respect in 2015. It was one of the best and most significant women’s matches in history, and The Role Model won it with 3 falls to 2. Now that Bayley has accepted Rhea’s challenge, the only question remains: when will the bout take place?
