This year, Rhea Ripley teamed up with Liv Morgan to capture the tag team championship for the second time, but they were unsuccessful and Rhea Ripley deserted Morgan. Thereafter she became the part of the Judgment Day faction, which saw her becoming heel once again in her career. She has subsequently become more muscular and when the Judgement Day got into a feud with the Mysterios, she would thrash Dominik Mysterio almost every night on RAW, such is her clout in the WWE.

During a recent interview with Inside the Ropes, Rhea Ripley spoke about the reason why she decided to become a heel. She said that things slowly start to become stale, when a person sticks to one persona. Ripley said that she is always up for a change and had lost her brutal side when she used to compete with Liv Morgan and Nikki A.S.H. Ripley said that she was becoming too caring, sympathetic and loving person, indicating she was gravitating too much towards a babyface, thereby deciding to become heel again.

“I think it was really important because things slowly start to get stale, and I’m always up for a change. And I’m always up for a gear change in a way as well, which I think I really needed. I was sort of in the tag division doing my own thing with Nikki A.S.H. and then Liv, and I sort of lost myself and lost that brutal streak that I had in a way as well. I was becoming too lovey-dovey and just like trying to please people again, which is what I did when I first moved to America and I was in the first-ever Mae Young Classic.”
