“I’m still trying to learn”- Rhea Ripley revealed a weird element in her character Vince McMahon asked to work upon

Rhea Ripley is a natural badass. She’s transformed herself into one of the most intimidating female characters in WWE. For nearly four years now, Ripley has been on the main roster. It took a while for her to finally estimate the right step. Mami’s popularity keeps rising each day. Her on-screen dynamics with Dominik Mysterio is one of the most enjoyable parts of WWE programming.
Back during the Thunderdome period, she was the Raw Women’s Champion. After capturing the gold from Asuka at WrestleMania 37, she kicked off her first title reign. Due to the lack of a live audience, there was just no connection between fans and her. She had a few lackluster battles here and there. As a champion, the Australian superstar wasn’t doing well back then.
During an interview with Bleacher Report the same year, she discussed her bond with Vince McMahon. Citing the WWE CEO as a fan of her aggression, she revealed what the 77-year-old asked her to improve. Ripley said that Vince McMahon suggested that she do things that would add layers to her persona.
The Eradicator said that the former WWE Chairman was happy with her character. He’s sort of been pretty happy with what I’ve been doing. He likes my aggression, which is something that comes to me pretty easily which I’m sort of thankful for. But one thing he says is to try to smile more, which is something I’m still trying to learn,” she said.
As a well-known fact, Mr. McMahon has often asked his babyface characters to smile more often on screen. However, the case was totally different with Ripley. She’s a natural heel and likes being serious. Therefore, she felt unnatural for a few weeks back then, giving exaggerated laughs on commentary.

They’ve grown so well as a family of four and their on-screen chemistry is unfathomable. Besides, The Eradicator’s storyline with Dominik has fascinated fans.
Rhea Ripley is currently involved in a feud with Natalya. For the past couple of weeks, the Canadian wrestler has had Mami in her sights. It appears like a singles match is on the cards pretty soon. There’s no doubt that the current SmackDown Women’s Champion will topple Nattie when they meet in an official capacity.
Besides, early rumored plans for Rhea Ripley’s SummerSlam opponent have raised some eyebrows. According to Xero News on Twitter, it appears like Alexa Bliss will crawl her way back soon. Not only that, she’s currently being pitched as an early candidate for Ripley’s opponent in Detroit this August. It will be interesting to see how things shape up.
