This year, the WWE Universe witnessed Ric Flair’s retirement match. The match occurred on July 31st, with him competing in a tag team match. Flair and his son-in-law, Andrade El Idolo, defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal at the event.

The match was a brutal one for Flair, as he cut his forehead during the match. The bleeding part was something that Ric Flair wanted to do in the match. Undertaker, Mick Foley, and Bret Hart were among the WWE legends who attended Flair’s last match.

After the match, Ric Flair expressed regret for announcing it as his final match. On the 50th anniversary of his wrestling career, the WWE Hall of Famer stated that he wouldn’t retire from pro wrestling.

Flair has had an illustrious wrestling career, and fans regard him as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. The 16-time world champion’s career has been full of ups and downs. Recently, Flair has been involved in an online beef with Eric Bischoff. Due to a variety of conflicts between them, both have a history of harboring animosity toward one another for a very long period.

However, on the most recent episode of To Be The Man, Ric Flair blamed himself for all of his wrongdoings. Ric Flair said that he doesn’t want to blame Eric Bischoff or anybody else. He is responsible for the mistakes in his life.

“The one thing about me that is dead on is I caused myself a lot of problems. Nobody, not Eric, not anybody……I will take all the credit in the world for the mistakes I made myself……You did this to yourself and you need to accept responsibility for it, and I do. But I really feel good about myself now.”

In the same edition of To Be The Man Podcast, Ric Flair said that Eric Bischoff doesn’t need to worry about calling him for a drink. Flair stated that he would probably be drunk with Bischoff six months from now. The WWE Hall of Famer said that he wants to sort out the issues with Bischoff.

“He don’t got to worry about me calling him to have a drink now. I used to like to drink with him. Hell, I’ll probably be drunk with him a year from now or maybe six months [from now], who knows……You want to know how these things came around because social media won’t let you get away from these things.”

The comment from Flair indicates that he wants to bury the hatchet with Eric Bischoff. Flair’s documentary, Woooooo! Becoming Ric Flair was released on December 26th. The documentary is available on Peacock and is described as a “revealing, in-depth, and often raw” look into the life of one of sports and wrestling’s most controversial icons.
