While, the match went fine, many fans had their hearts stopped during a spot in the match where Flair faked a heart attack in front of his own daughter and other legends. While some of the fans called the spot “insensitive”, others called it just another iconic Flair spot. Flair would put a hand on his heart as Lethal continued him hitting on the ringside. However, Flair’s acting would distract Lethal before Flair would rake his eye to gain the momentum.

Flair and Andrade would then go on to win the match after applying his signature Figure 4 Leg lock on Jeff Jarrett before he hit him with brass knuckles. The hall would then chant thank you Flair for his contributions to the world of wrestling as he was presented with the big NWA World Championship gold belt to see him off.

Notably Flair has a heart condition called “alcoholic cardiomyopathy” because of which the former 16-time world champion has also gone through 4 heart surgeries and has a pacemaker installed as well. A blood-soaked Flair stood tall at the end of the match and thanked everyone for coming in as the audience gave a standing ovation to one of the greatest ever to step in the ring.
