Randy Orton has been absent from WWE television for over a year due to his back injury. The Viper marked his last appearance on the May 20, 2022, edition of SmackDown. RKBro, the team of Orton and Matt Riddle, dropped their tag team titles to The Usos in the same episode. That said, Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently let loose his thoughts on Randy Orton’s fatal back injury.
Ric Flair recently sat down with YouTuber Chris Van Vliet for an interview. The other three members of Evolution have either retired or are out due to injury. Chatting with Vliet, Flair recalled his recent conversation with Randy Orton at the late Bray Wyatt’s funeral and stated that “time off” is the worst enemy of a wrestler.
Randy and I were talking about it in Bray's funeral, it's a, it's tough, all of a sudden you start throwing yourself back in when you have been off for a couple of years, you know the greatest thing in our business of all is time off is your worst enemy cause your skin gets soft, you come back in and you're, you're tearing up your skin, your elbow, your knees.Ric Flair on CVV
