Ric Flair has been in the news recently as his “last match” got voted as some of the worst by critics and fans. However, it seems like the WWE Hall of Famer has a fitting reply for each one of them. Recently, the Nature Boy replied to Dutch Mantell’s criticism with some harsh words.

In his latest episode of “Story Time with Dutch Mantell,” the eponymous host, a.k.a. Zebb Colter in WWE, responded to Ric Flair’s claim that he got $300,000 for his last match. According to Mantell, the Nature Boy tarnished his legacy when he should have left it alone. The former WWE manager even said, “Ric Flair is full of s**t and always has been.”

The 16-time World Champion recently responded to the rant via Twitter. Ric Flair questioned Mantell’s legacy in return and refused to acknowledge him as a “legend.” The two-time Hall of Famer tweets, “Thank God They Used The Word Veteran & Didn’t Call You A Legend. Just A Miserable Old Wrestler Trying To Make A Buck. And BTW, You Never Had A Legacy To Begin With. WOOOOO!”

Dutch Mantell has been critical of Ric Flair in the past as well. In his podcast, the former wrestling promoter said that the 74-year-old deserved the worst match award last year for his antics. Hence, there seems to have been some animosity between the two for quite some time now, which is only going to aggravate with this latest development.

Jim Crockett Promotions held the event “Ric Flair’s Last Match” on July 31st, 2022. While the main card had nine matches in total, it was the Nature Boy who was the major draw, scheduled to step foot in the ring for the last time. The WWE Hall of Famer tagged in with his son-in-law, Andrade, to take on the team of Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in the main event. The match quite famously went bad for the 74-year-old legend, who has admitted since then, that he passed out twice during the match.

In Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s year-end awards, the event came fourth in the “Worst Event of 2022” and was voted third in the “Most Disgusting Promotion of 2022.” Moreover, the match itself got voted the second worst of the year, only behind Vince McMahon vs Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38. While Flair did accept the worst match title, he has hit back at his critics in other ways boasting about the money he made doing it. Since then he has even shown some desire to “redo” his last match, but fans have some reservations regarding that.
