Riddle will face someone really big at Summerslam

Former one half of the Raw Tag Team Champion ‘The Original Bro’ Riddle is enjoying a hot babyface run in WWE right now. He recently completed in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match delivering a great performance and dishing out multiple cool spots. Some of the highlights include a breathtaking moonsault from the top of a ladder over everyone standing in the ring and a super RKO to Seth Rollins from the insane ladder top.

Although giving everything he had in his tank Riddle wasn’t able to plug in the final nail in the coffin as during the ending moments of the match, Theory threw him from the top of the ladder all way down to the ring and retrieved the Money in the Bank contract hanging above. With Summerslam now approaching, the biggest question right now is who would be Riddle’s next opponent at the Biggest party of the Summer?

Well, it seems like WWE has already locked in his opponent for the upcoming premium live event later this month. With that being said, the current plan is for Seth “Freakin” Rollins to go up against Riddle in three weeks time at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville according to Dave Meltzer. On the latest edition of his Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer revealed that this is probably the working plan as of now for Riddle heading into Summerslam. He also mentioned how WWE is continuously doing this match as the main event of several house shows lately.

“So it’s probable that it’ll be Riddle vs Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. That’s the main event at most of the house shows too, going forward.”

Seth Rollins and Riddle could be a really interesting affair down the road

If we just look at it on paper without taking into consideration the current characters of both superstars, you would find that Rollins vs. Riddle is certainly a match no one would ever complain about seeing for as both are just fantastic athletes and can have a great chemistry inside of the squared circle. Now adding the current characters of both into the mix as well we will get a perfect Heel vs. Babyface contest which would be quiet a viewing on television.

Seth is currently playing a self obsessed like crazy maniac and on the other hand Riddle is well over among the fans. It would be really exciting to see these two elite level superstars battle out in the ring at Summerslam.
