The Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare have clashed only once since Rhodes’ return to WWE. The clash was on the biggest stage possible, as Reigns and Rhodes fought in the main event of WrestleMania 39, where Reigns successfully retired with the help of Solo. Ever since, the two have gone their separate ways, as Roman Reigns was the main attraction on SmackDown while Cody came to Raw.

However, former Tag Team Champion Road Dogg Jessie James thinks a rematch should happen between the two. While talking on his podcast, James said that the feud is white hot even months after their first match, and WWE should cash in on it. He believes that the two should main event WrestleMania again, and Cody should come out on top this time around.

Road Dogg is not the only one who has suggested this match to the main event Mania 40. However, it is too soon to call shots, as Mania is still months away. However, fans would jump at the possibility of having Cody vs. Roman II at WrestleMania 40, which takes place in Philadelphia in April 2024.
