Roman Reigns & Jey Uso met in a Rules of Engagement segment this week on SmackDown. After asking the Orlando crowd to acknowledge him, Reigns asked Jey if he really wanted to do it. Amidst a rollercoaster of emotions boiling within, Uso didn’t back down. In fact, he was the one who put Reigns in an unimaginable position.
He let his cousin know that they are going to battle it out in a Tribal Combat at SummerSlam. Per the stipulation, anything goes, and winner ultimately gets everything. Recognizing it as the order of his elders, Roman Reigns seemingly agreed to put his Tribal Chief crown on the line too. He took his Ula Fala out and put it over the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, indicating what’s at stake.
After that, the cousins shook hands and bumped their foreheads out of respect for the family tradition. Reigns then proceeded to walk away from the ring, leaving Solo Sikoa in a perplexing state. Unlike Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns, the Street Champion had other intentions in mind. He grabbed Jey Uso and was about to plant him with the Samoan Spike.
However, Reigns intercepted and stopped Sikoa from doing so. The latter stared at his Tribal Chief for doing so. In the meanwhile, Jey landed a superkick on The Enforcer of The Bloodline. And just like that, the segment came to an end. The crowd remained super-hot throughout the family drama. At the end, it was Jey who stood tall along in the ring.
Is Jey Uso the one to dethrone Roman Reigns at SummerSlam?

Roman Reigns has been the World Champion for over 1300 days in WWE. With just under 30 title defenses in total, he has defeated numerous opponents. Even legends like John Cena, Edge and Brock Lesnar fell short of taking away Roman’s gold. However, Reigns is about to welcome the biggest threat to his record-setting title reign.
That guy is none other than his own cousin, Jey. There’s no other man on the roster as familiar with every trick Reigns can possibly pull out. The former Right Hand Man became the first superstar to end Reigns’ undefeated streak of over 3.5 years. At Money in the Bank, the 37-year-old sent shockwaves through the wrestling universe after pinning The Tribal Chief.
It’s still not certain if Jey Uso would take that title from his cousin or not. For sure, their match is going to be one hell of a storytelling masterclass. Apart from solid in-ring action, these men are going to ensure that fans don’t take their eyes off the bout, even once. Also, after the way Roman held Solo back this week, the Enforcer could play a decisive role at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
