Roman Reigns is certainly having a time of his life and has already achieved the feat of having a memorable WWE career. Roman Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed Universal title at the Clash at the Castle Live event against Drew McIntyre. McIntyre was on the verge of winning the Championship, when Solo Sikoa interfered and cost him the championship.

Sikoa is Roman Reigns’ cousin and the younger brother of the Usos. Roman Reigns is said to cross the 1000th day mark as the Champion as he seems to be unstoppable and has built up and gained the trust of the Bloodline such, that they always have his back.

According to Dave Meltzer, Roman Reigns’ next bout will take place at the Saudi Arabia and the Tribal Chief won’t be available for the Extreme Rules Live event. Reigns next opponent is yet to be determined and it may be Kevin Owens or the returning Braun Strowman.

Roman Reigns has always competed against the best in the business and had come into prominence as a part of the faction The Shield. The Shield used to help CM Punk during his matches but denied that they worked for him.

According to the storyline, it was later found out that the Shield worked for Paul Heyman. The members of the Shield had their own individual and successful careers after splitting from the faction. Though Roman Reigns and CM Punk weren’t involved in a feud they competed against each other several times in singles matches on RAW.  

CM Punk left the company in 2014 due to health issues, and thought that wrestling in the company was not safe for him, lack of creative freedom was also one of the reasons he left the company.

Back in 2020, during an interview with the Load Management Complex Podcast, Roman Reigns had said that if something interests the WWE Universe and they love to see it then he is willing to go forward with the idea. Roman had blasted CM Punk and had said that he doesn’t like the guy and doesn’t know many people who like him, indicating Punk’s constant disagreements with the creative backstage and proving himself as a whimsical person.

“If it’s something that the fans can get behind and that it can really make them sink their teeth into the product, and really dive into the creative with us, I’m willing to do it. I don’t like the guy, I don’t know many people who do, but I’m willing to put business first and make really good content if that’s the case.”

Roman Reigns had said that CM Punk would have top be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right. Roman Reigns stated that he is the sort of person who is ready to do what his fans favor and want him to do.

“He’d probably have to be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right, but if it’s willing, and the fans and the audience are going to like it and be into it, then most likely I’m going to be into it.”

CM Punk has been suspended from the AEW and stripped off his AEW World Championship for violating discipline by involving himself in a backstage fight with wrestlers Kenny omega and Young Bucks.
