The Tribal Chief might be a narcissist; however, the man behind the on-screen character of Roman Reigns is what makes him special. Walking in the footsteps of John Cena, the Undisputed Champion granted a Make-A-Wish before this week’s SmackDown. As reported by Erica Finke of WISN-12, Reigns met 5-year-old Allen Newsom, who’s suffering from a condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
The little soul has already had three open heart surgeries in his short life span thus far. His doctors suggested him to be part of the Make-A-Wish foundation, and her mother gave him a few choices for the cause. Allen chose to meet his favorite WWE superstar, Roman Reigns. That boy’s dream turned into reality as Reigns bought time to meet the kid, leaving him exultant. That was a top-class gesture from WWE’s poster boy.
Ever since turning heel, Reigns hasn’t been involved in too many noble causes, and rightfully so. However, the Allen Newsom thing was a welcome case for The Tribal Chief. Back when Roman was a babyface, he used to grant a bunch of Make-A-Wish causes for WWE. Later on, it was a disastrous night for Reigns on SmackDown. His Crown Jewel challenger, LA Knight, did everything in his power to get under The Tribal Chief’s skin.
During the contract signing, Reigns even poked fun at Knight by asking whether he’d ever been in that place before. The Megastar argued that he only needs a single opportunity to prove where he belongs. After the main event, LA Knight, who had already beaten Jimmy Uso, dropped Roman with a BFT. And just like that, the 40-year-old gained the upper hand on the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Warrior Award recipient JJ Robertson called Roman Reigns as his favorite
Back in 2018, WWE decided to honor Jarius Robertson with the Warrior Award. He’s been diagnosed with biliary atresia and has had a couple of liver transplants. However, his unwavering strength and impregnable self have enabled him to live a life less ordinary. During the 2018 Hall of Fame ceremony, Robertson delivered a beautiful speech.
He called Roman Reigns his favorite WWE superstar and even roasted John Cena for his inability to make it to WrestleMania 34. Even though Jarius’ endorsement led to Roman getting booed, the Warrior Award recipient told the New Orleans crowd to pipe it down as Reigns was his hero.
Since then, Jarius has been to a ton of WWE shows, and he’s an avid follower of Roman Reigns’ Bloodline. Needless to say, the former Big Dog had a revolutionary impact on Robertson’s life. Reigns has been inspiring the young generation with his activities.
