WATCH: Max’s Hacks series on HBO jokes about Roman Reigns moving to AEW

Roman Reigns is one of WWE’s biggest stars and is currently reigning as the undisputed WWE Universal Champion. ‘The Head of the Table’ began his reign in 2020 after defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in SummerSlam 2020. Since then, Roman has been reigning for more than 600 days and continues to remain dominant on the main roster, defeating the likes of Edge, Brock Lesnar and John Cena.

Roman Reigns recently was mentioned in the second episode of “Hacks”, an HBO Max series. Deborah Vance, “legendary Las Vegas stand-up comedy diva”, is a character in the “Hack” series and is shown struggling to maintain her relevance in the stand-up comedy industry. A talented but unsuccessful comedy writer works with her after being unable to secure a job due to insensitive tweets.

In episode 3 of the HBO Max show, “Trust The Process,” Angela Elayne Gibb, who plays Robin, mentions Roman Reigns to her son, Marcus, played by Carl Clemmon’s Hopkins. Marcus is CEO of Deobrah and plays an important role in this series. His mother appeals of him that if Roman reigns goes to AEW, will she be allowed to text Marcus’s ex-boyfriend, Marcus seems physically displeased.

“If Roman Reigns ever goes to AEW, can I at least DM him?”

WWE has been mentioned in several movies and Tv series and it looks like someone writing the script of Hacks is in love with them, as a wrestling mention has been made before as well. The HBO MAX show has mentioned WWE in its first season as WWE’s Royal Rumble premium live event was mentioned in one of season one’s particular scene:
