Roman Reigns is gearing up for his Undisputed Universal Championship bout at SummerSlam. Being the face of the company, he makes sure to promote this highly anticipated ending of The Bloodline. The latest of his appearances came on ESPN First Take. There, he discussed his title defense, boasted about his superiority, and predicted the top five NFL teams to win Super Bowl LVIII – favoring the San Francisco 49ers.

Roman was asked to give a list of his top five Super Bowl Contenders in 2024. The Tribal Chief stated that his top pick was his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. Then he picked the second deserving winner, the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. He then picked the defending NFC Conference Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, to be his third favorite team. The other two picks came from the two top AFC contenders, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills

Reigns clearly mentioned that “this list is fluid,” and these picks are considering his views this week. Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled for February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. While having NFL talks, Reigns also shifted gears on his championship scenario while having Paul Heyman with him. The Wise Man gave full credit to Roman for increasing the prestige of the Universal Championship and vice versa for his grandeur in the company.

Roman Reigns is all set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against his cousin Jey Uso at SummerSlam. While the build for this match has been an incredible journey, it would culminate in a more memorable way in a Tribal Combat stipulation match. With this match, the official end of The Bloodline story is also expected, with Roman finding a new opponent just after his rumored victory over Uso.

During the same appearance on ESPN First Take, Roman Reigns was asked about his match at SummerSlam. Stephen A. Smith became wholly transparent with The Tribal Chief by recalling the fact that he was essentially beating up his cousin Jey Uso for defending his prestige and championship.

Roman then responded instantly, saying that his beatings are what took Jey Uso to the next level. He even mentioned that this is the worst part of this thing, but he stayed true to his statement, saying that he is helping Jey in the most pragmatic way. But Smith didn’t agree with his methods.

Reigns backfired at this stage by stating his family’s lineage in professional wrestling. “Sometimes you gotta have a tough love,” stated The Tribal Chief as he justified his beating for Jey as the correct way in the business of sports entertainment. He concluded by stating that even a billion-dollar company needs these things to work.
