Roman Reigns might miss out on a major international WWE PLE after WrestleMania 40
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is not featured on the early poster for the WWE PLE Backlash, sparking speculation on his availability online.

The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns is one of the greatest superstars of this generation. He has been the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for 1202 days, and it seems like nobody is going to beat him in the near future. But if there is one thing he receives the most criticism for, it is for not defending his title regularly and concocting a part-time schedule.
It looks like Roman will miss out on another major international WWE PLE after WrestleMania 40. WWE will host SmackDown and the Backlash PLE on May 3rd and 4th, respectively, at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines. However, one noticeable thing is that Reigns is not on the early poster for the show. This may raise questions about whether he will appear at the Premium Live Event or not.
Roman last wrestled at Crown Jewel in 2023 against LA Knight and successfully retained his title. He has competed in only 11 matches this year, which is significantly down from last year’s numbers. His reign in 2023 includes big title defenses against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 and against Jey Uso at Summerslam.
It is more likely that he will perform at the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40. Rumors say that Randy Orton, who returned to the Survivor Series, will be the next opponent for the title. It will be interesting to see whether Orton defeats the Tribal Chief or if Roman again retains the title with the help of the Bloodline.
Braun Strowman feels he is still ‘not finished’ with Roman Reigns
The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman had an intense rivalry with Roman Reigns when the latter was in his ‘Big Dog’ era. The rivalry against Reigns is what catapulted Strowman to new heights of success. However, he still feels he’s not done with the Tribal Chief just yet.
The 40-year-old expressed his desire to re-ignite the feud with Reigns. While talking with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, he claimed that the rivalry with Reigns is the greatest rivalry of his career, and he wants to relieve it once again.
Never, I'm never finished with Roman Reigns. He is my arch nemesis and my greatest rivalry of my career, and hopefully one of these days I'll get back in there and get these hands on The Tribal Chief.Braun Strowman on Roman Reigns via Sportskeeda WrestleBinge
Strowman and Reigns last met in the ring three years ago in a Steel Cage bout, where they competed for the Universal Championship. After that, Strowman lost his footing in the main event scene and eventually got released by WWE in 2021.
He made his return in late 2022 under Triple H’s regime and formed a tag team with the high-flyer Ricochet. The tag team’s last match to date was when they defeated The Alpha Academy on Raw after the Draft. Unfortunately, he suffered a neck injury and has been out of action since then. The Monster among Men provided an update on his recovery and said he is looking to return to the ring in 2024.
